I used to go to comedy clubs a lot. It was great fun. But not anymore.
Look at this guy’s big joke: “Trump was elected and I feel like I got raped.”
That’s a joke? No. No, it isn’t. There’s nothing “funny” about it. It’s just an insult hurled at half the country because this guy’s candidate lost the election.
And this guy is not unique. I’ve heard other professionals make “jokes” like: “George Bush sure is stupid” and “Everybody hates Republicans, am I right?” and “I hope Sarah Palin’s daughter gets raped.”
Humor used to be ... humorous.
