Filmmaker Spike Lee posted a photo to Instagram of himself holding up a pair of custom Black History Month Air Jordan 1s, in an apparent show of protest against President Donald Trump. One shoe featured the anti-Trump slogan RESIST while the other shoe read REPEL AGENT ORANGE, a moniker popularized by rapper Busta Rhymes, who referred to Trump as President Agent Orange during a performance at the 59th annual Grammy Awards this month.
RESIST REPEL AGENT ORANGE. DATS DA PUTIN TRUTH, RUTH. YA-DIG? SHO-NUFF. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, Lee wrote in the caption below the photo. Shout Out To My Man Busta Rhymes. Special Shout Out To Tip, Ali And The Rest Of The Tribe. Artwork By Danielle Mastrion.
Last February, the Chi-Raq director called Trumps presidential candidacy madness and said his election could be the end of us all.
In January, Lee blacklisted R&B and soul singer-songwriter Chrisette Micheles music after the Grammy-winner agreed to sing at Trump inauguration.
I Wuz Thinkin bout Using Chrisettes Song- BLACK GIRL MAGIC In My Netflix Series SHES GOTTA HAVE IT . NOT ANYMORE, Lee wrote on Instagram.
Lee is now soliciting musical submissions from independent artists for his upcoming Shes Gotta Have It TV show the same series for which he barred Micheles music.

What have you done for us lately, Spike?
Just remember, these people HATE capitalism.
I wonder how long before one of their beloved “teen” criminals kills someone over this particular pair of shoes.
Those sneakers will make quite a fashion statement with their saggy, over-sized gym shorts and backward ball caps ...

What a disgusting racist beast.
I wouldn't buy those shoes because 1) they ugly and 2) New Balance shoes are VASTLY more comfortable.
True that and they last for years! Actually I've never owned a pair of Nike's; seemed too expensive for what they are but New Balance are quality sneakers at a good price (at Big 5).
Did he have these customized, or did Nike do the dirty work. I don’t like the way their shoes fit, anyway.
Spike must be cousins with Victoria Posh Spice Beckham. Same facial expression at all times.
Black celebrities don’t hate capitalism at all; they make a lot of money selling overpriced garbage to low-IQ consumers. They embrace socialism only as a means to give our money to those low-IQ “consumers” - which ends up in the pockets of those marketing this crap.
Yawn.
They’ll be in the bargain bin with the Zips.
