The Great Wall looked like it had some promise but frankly it turned out to be a mess.

I think it’s great. American audiences turning away. Let them sell their trash to China. It’s gonna be real funny when they run up against Chinese censorship. They mock their fellow countrymen, but they’ll bow and scrape to not offend their new masters.

Maybe Soros should implement a reverse boycott. Pay this minions to go watch a lousy movie every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Peaceful way to build up revenues, get more money into the hands of Hollywood stars (?

) and then contribute to wacky democratic candidates like Hillary.

A. Zhang Yimou is one of the world’s best directors, best known here, probably, for “Hero,” “The Flowers Of War” and the breath-taking ceremonies at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

B. People are right. The trailer makes “The Great Wall” seem hopelessly bad.

I said shortly after Trump's election win on 8 November 2016 that Hollywood faces a GIGANTIC problem.

Why? Because the vast majority of movies and TV shows "greenlighted" for production and pre-production within the last 18-20 months assume Hillary Clinton would be elected President. But since that failed to materialize, Hollywood now has way too many movies and TV shows "in the can" or almost completed that are essentially "out of sync" with American voter sentiment, and that could result in some very expensive box office revenue losses and much lower TV ratings. (Indeed, look at how fast the movie Miss Sloane failed.)

In fact, look at the upcoming Warner Brothers Wonder Woman movie, now in late post-production and due June 2017. Is it possible that Warner Brothers may have to re-shoot several critical scenes in the movie, and that could result in a delay of movie from June 2017 to late 2017?

Of course, we already have an example of Hillary Clinton's losses affecting the entertainment industry. U2 had planned to release its latest album, Songs of Experience, some time in late winter 2017. But with HIllary's loss, U2 was forced to rethink its release of an album that was essentially finished; will U2 end up releasing a longer version of this album with new anti-Trump protest songs by late summer 2017?

I laugh at Libs in general whenever I see The Great Wall ads and think how much they oppose to a Great wall on our borders.

Such hypocrites.

I tried to watch that last Godzilla movie on my home TV (widescreen LCD). The move was so dark I wouldn’t make out anything on the screen.

I finally ended trying and switched to something watchable.

I have noticed that with many TV shows and movies — they are film in dark places. That makes them difficult to view at home. Even if I brighten the TV control, it does not help, as it washing out the contract.

“Acclaimed Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou’s The Great Wall, starring Matt Damon...”

Zhang should’ve conferred with Sum Ting Wong before casting Matt “Damaged Goods” Damon in this movie.

Saw John Wick 2 last week. Very enjoyable. Beats the other movies named here hands-down.

I particularly like "House of Flying Daggers", one of the most romantic movies of recent years.
