That explains her line of jeans, at least.

Why do you believe every other heavenly body is a sphere?

I think I see the problem here. You've rejected the fruits of your own observations.

As a person living in modern times, there's no doubt you've seen photos of the other planets that have been captured by our many deep space missions. Those photos clearly show spherical planets.

But you don't need a deep space mission to see that for yourself. Just watch the moon go through its phases, or point a low powered telescope (or even binoculars} at the moon sometime, and you can easily see the spherical curvature of that body.

But if you trust a theory over what you see with your own eyes, there's nothing anyone can do to help you.

Stinkywiggles...too funny!

Don't let them travel alone. They might go where they're not wanted.

hey...you went there first, not me.

Basketballs are flat as well. That’s why they bounce. So why shouldn’t the earth be flat? Seems young Master Irving has got this right.

Now that is just patently ridiculous.

Everyone knows that Jörmungandr holds up the world.

...inbound objects moving at more than 100,000 miles per second are stopped yet we can penetrate this barrier with a rocket? How is that possible?

Because the "barrier" proposed in that theory, is a figment of some miseducated drug addict's revered imagination.

OK - Let’s pretend you’re being serious just for a minute.
(Although I strongly suspect you’re yuckking up a storm between posts.)

‘Splain me this one Lucy -

Long distance shooters prove the rotation of the Earth as a sphere every day.
It’s called Coriolis Effect.
If the Earth was flat, the compensation should be equal going either East or West, n’est pas?

But it’s not.
Here’s a simple tutorial - QED.

Those photos clearly show spherical planets.

Photos or composite/artist renderings?

Like this one...

Artist's View of Plumes on Europa

Why not use a real photo?
Or this one...

This diagram shows how the plumes on Europa are seen in silhouette

It looks like a photo but isn't.

Phil, you’re not actually arguing the facts and logic of your position here. You’re answering our questions with other questions, and posting links to videos and articles by flat earth believers - none of which I’ve clicked on.

It’s a silly goose chase I refuse to be sucked into. Why? Because you’re presenting a cosmological concept for serious discussion, that was proven false two millenia ago.

By doing so, you’ve invited the ridicule and mirth you’re seeing on this thread. It’s why I earlier compared this to the realm of fairies, werewolves, vampires, and time travelers.

You’re free to believe in any fantastical theory you like, but attempting to discuss it as a serious subject with educated people, is asking a lot, in my opinion.
