But that's just the point. Too many of us shrink back from overtly displaying who we are, and what we believe in. Our collective reticence allows the insane left to own the field.
I, for one, am shamed by Joy Villa's courageous act.
We are clearly in the majority, yet we let the other side cower us into silence. We do a disservice to our President, who put his very life on the line to defend us.
You make a good point. The funny thing is that all the pragmatism is no different than what has traditionally been called “conservatism.” My wife works in our school district and my sister is a teacher. They both observe that the insanely liberal people they work with all spout conservative values all the time - morality, thrift, industriousness, personal liberty, choice by the individual and not the state, many not wanting to pay union dues. But all these people are rabid Dems.
However we get there is fine.
