It’s interesting-it isn’t Ford motor company, it is the Ford Foundation which is “disconnected” from Ford Motor, basically, the Foundation run by the Ford Family.
It is extraordinarily liberal.
But the Ford Foundation is a “preferred” charity for Ford Motor employees, and apparently (as of just a few years ago) Ford Motor would triple-match any employee donations to the Ford Foundation. So, basically, Ford Motor gives money to the Ford Foundation which then gives it to far left causes like Black Lives Matter.
Microsoft also does this type of thing for employees who donate to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
I researched this because I get hammered on some forums here because I watch NFL football. I do try to purchase and use products that I know aren’t far Left, support homosexual marriage, etc, and even though it is very hard to do, I try. I enjoy watching football, and the NFL hasn’t given money to Black Lives Matters that I can find, even though a handful of players want to protest by kneeling down. I don’t feel like I am “supporting” the commercial sponsors, because if I don’t like the politics of a sponsor, I simply don’t buy their products or even watch their commercials.
My feeling is that these are personal decisions for people to make themselves.
So when I take heat for saying I watch NFL football, I get pretty angry and counter with “Do you drive a Ford? Do you use ANY Microsoft products? Because THOSE companies don’t just NOT punish people who make a political statement on their time, companies like Microsoft and Ford ACTIVELY give money to those far Left anti-American entities.
I never have anyone say they never considered that, but often in the next post they go right back to condemning someone for watching a football game.
Funny how it works - when you stop inviting BLM leaders and the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to the White House, the air goes out of their balloons real quick.....
