The FAA will absolutely kick Harrison Ford's ass. He's really going to regret his snide comments during the election.

Trump loves payback and this one is going to be really sweet.

His problems will transcend politics. At 74, cognition is not as good as it was at 20 something when the instructor hopped out the first time and sent us solo for 3 laps around the pattern. I’m 73, and would not try to fly any heavy weather, or fly into a busy Class B without a lot of pre-planning. I would also probably chose my arrival time had I not been into that airport in a while.

I’m not going to try to get into ATL, VFR at 5:00 PM!

SOCAL is a very busy airspace, and the runways at SNA are clearly marked. This will, at a minimum require a pretty thorough “demonstration of proficiency” flight check, and many pilots faced with that requirement at 74 would chose to hand in the medical, pay a fine, and accept the facts of life.

He didn't 'avoid a mishap' he could have killed 116 people. The fact is he is nearly 75, a known pot head for his entire life and has had several 'incidents' for which a non celebrity would have lost his license. No doubt he was flying stoned- and don't we all think it's ok for stoned 75 year olds to be in the air?

I have a big problem with 75 year olds DRIVING without yearly testing of faculties( and we all know a lot can change in a year) much less flying! It's pure arrogance and selfishness that endangers others. The hypocrital 'environmentalist' claim is laughable. He owns many planes and helicopters, using god knows how much fossil fuel for his indulgent 'hobby', now he is mistaking taxiways for runways and endangering lives? Surely he can afford a pilot for his private planes if he is too good to fly commercial or just wants to joyride. Even Chuck Yeager( the greatest pilot alive IMO) knew when to stop flying. The FAA should ground the old pot head NOW. Odds are he'll kill innocent people( whose families will then sue for ALL Of his assets) before he does a John Denver or becomes a wet spot on a mountainside.
