We recently came across the following question on Quora: “ If every state of the USA declared war against each other, which would win?“
We’ve published the full answer from Quora user Jon Davis, a Marine veteran who is now a writer and blogger on military, veterans, and Middle Eastern affairs. In Oct. 2014, Davis’ answer was optioned by a Hollywood producer for a potential television series.

Alaska, I think. For Alaskans, it’s home, but for everyone else, too cold and too far away to put much fight into it.

Ca would join with Mexico their natural ally. Texas would be tough l don’t think the other states would mess with em. When we went through Texas last fall it seemed like they would be fine with the idea. It is an interesting premise. Up here in Mi to survive we would probably join with Ohio, lndiana and Wi to have a chance against NY and ILL.
He totally forgot that AZ has AMARK the third largest air force in the world. We get air superiority right out of the gate.
S.E. Alaska would be like Viet Nam. Lots of rain, dense forrest and foliage; only colder.

I think you’re confused as to MOS and Branch.
California wouldn’t fight. They would create a banana republic, and use the police to arrest people with conservative leaning, confiscate guns. No army though.
I grew up in NY and I still have family there.
The people who live there are terrified of guns, masculinity, things that go bang, and doing without.
NY would surrender in less than a week.
