“Deutschland Uber Alles” is not a Nazi anthem. It dates back to Imperial Germany.

It’s no different from over here when we chant USA USA or raise a Confederate flag or say build a wall, America First etc. etc. etc. As soon as people realize all the left has to attack us with are words, then rolling over them, like a freight train is a simple matter of ignoring them and moving forward. Hold hands and Sing America the Beautiful at the top of your lungs. Of course, the usual suspects, the names we hear day after day after day after year after decade will swoon.

Actually, it is better musical composition and sounds better than the US anthem.
The star spangled banner is too choppy and is all over the place.

Only the fourth verse is official. Singing of the first verse has been banned in the Federal Republic. Correct stanza is:

Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit
Für das deutsche Vaterland!
Danach lasst uns alle streben
Brüderlich mit Herz und Hand!
Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit
Sind des Glückes Unterpfand;
|: Blüh' im Glanze dieses Glückes,
Blühe, deutsches Vaterland! :|

Unity and justice and freedom
For the German fatherland!
Towards these let us all strive
Brotherly with heart and hand!
Unity and justice and liberty
Are the foundation of happiness;
|: Flourish in the radiance of this happiness,
Flourish, German fatherland! :|

People get the Lied Der Deutschen confused - one would expect better from the Fed Cup Tennis organizers! ;-)

Yep, they could have played the Horst Wessel Song instead, LOL!

If they'd played and sang Horst-Wessel-Lied I'd see some room for complaint. This was more a simple mistake by people who relied on a Google search for Germany/Anthem.

The music was also written by Joseph Haydn of the illustrious Haydn family.

Actually, the melody dates back further than that. To the time of Franz Josef Haydn. Who was Austrian ...
