Plus, many have developed diabetes and immune deficiency diseases via refined sugar and grain products and are forced to watch their diets.
But, despite the anti-glutton movement, some grains in the diet are fine. There were a number of non-sugar coated cereals from Kellogg’s that I liked.
But, like others here, I began finding substitutes due to their politicizing.
As to consumers getting educated, I would say that an even bigger impact is the advent of free school breakfasts and lunches. Parents in many places are too lazy to even get up and open a box of cereal and milk for their kids in the morning. Let the nanny state and taxpayers do it. There’s a whole huge industry now for free breakfasts, lunches, and in some places dinners and weekend school feeds.
