“I’ve never had a cat declawed. Just can’t do it.”
On the flip side, all of my cats have been declawed and they were just fine. Then again, the closest my cats every came to being outside was looking out the window.
Ours always have been declawed (front only) and have lived long, healthy lives and 100% indoors. We brought in a feral, making 6 in the home and didn’t declaw her. She has never used her claws to harm the others, us, or destroy anything. She’s indoor only, too. We are lucky.
We wouldn’t declaw another if we had any more — which we won’t.
