Three strikes. His mother had immigrated to Britain and then to Canada.

In order to receive subsidized prenatal care she had to give up her British and United States citizenships because Canada did not recognize dual citizenship.

At the time Ted was born neither of his parents were citizens of the United States of America.

Do we have any documentation for that?

I’m even more curious how he acquired US citizenship. We have never seen a CRBA that was filed, which would have been one way if his mother was still a citizen.
If neither parent was a citizen, he has to have been naturalized.
Either way, he is not a natural born citizen and is ineligible and is not a strict Constitutionalist.
