Malia Obama Pitching Film Scripts To Weinstein Company Executives (just your average intern!)
TMZ ^ | 2/1/2017 11:04 AM PST

Malia Obama already has one hell of an entry level job as the Weinstein Company's newest intern -- she's picking and choosing scripts to pitch to execs ... TMZ has learned.

Our Weinstein sources tell us Malia started work Monday and she's ensconced in the production/development department ... reading through scripts and deciding which ones move on to Weinstein brass.

We're told Malia's internship will run through the Spring.

Weinstein gets lots of scripts from top screenwriters and unknowns alike, with good reason -- the company produced some of Hollywood's most decorated films over in the last decade ... like "The King's Speech," "The Artist," "Shakespeare in Love," "Silver Linings Playbook," "Django Unchained," and "Good Will Hunting."

As we've reported ... Malia brushed up on her film aesthetic last week at Sundance ... which she chose to attend on her own time before the internship.

One last thing ... we've learned she's getting paid, even though it's probably around $9/hour. Still a sweet gig for the former prez's kid ... and it beats running coffees any day.

I’ll be sure to avoid any films she has anything to do with.

She’s over eighteen and hanging out by herself with Hollywood types. Wouldn’t be surprised if some interesting video footage emerges soon on YouTube.

She should pitch a tragic drama about a bumbling Kenyan born usurper and his tranny “wife” who lie and deceive their way into the White House and try to bring down the country. They could add the “Based on a True Story” tag to the credits.

Lots of negatives to being the kid of the president. This is one of the positives. Also hollywood has lots of drugs. Just where I’d want my pot smoking teen. And lots
Of creepy guys who seduce drugged kids. BTDT

Dear TMZ, a decade is ten years. Good Will Hunting came out in 1997, Shakespeare in Love in 1998.

I would expect the SS have that avenue covered when the juices start flowing. Standard protection outside the penetration.

Yes, it happens. What we need to do is stop it in the 3rd and 4th world or build big walls.

If your father's been president, Hollywood types may not be all that impressive.

Like mother, like daughter, I suppose.

When Obama was in the Senate, Mitch had a job created for her in the Hospital industry making 300-350K shuffling papers and "consulting". Sometimes she showed up at the office, mostly not. When Obama was elected POTUS, she left the firm. No one was hired to assume her duties - apparently she had none.

Hiring Malia is similar - a little cash, some work experience for Malia, and in return they get access to Obama. He's "retired" right now, but that won't last for long. He's wealthy and still controls a heavyweight political machine. This will pay off later for Weinstein.
