They are trying to sell their advertising to you. They get about $10 per ad if they have your gender, age, zip, and any buying or hobbies you may do. Otherwise they get about $0.15. So of course they want your info. You have a lot of choices. Lie, or choose other. Don’t link with FB or any other sights. delete cookies from time to time. And don’t connect accounts.
I am laughing so hard!!! They are just determined to keep me out, for whatever reason. I am guessing because my IP shows up on pages that DO NOT SUPPORT muslim invasion, muslim worship, muslim superiority, transgender crap, etc. Oh, and I have absolutely no respect for anybody who claims that they are “bi-sexual”. Sounds like hypocritical Google is guilty of extreme vetting.
One other coice. Create a new persona on a borwser you never use and better as a private window. Start with FB give them any answer you wish. Then go to google. after you have whatever account you want, just never use the accounts in FB and Google. Just use your gmail account.
Send em a Gmail logo picture .... better yet Bing logo or .....

If GOOGLE AI can’t determine if you are male or female, maybe you are in a crisis yourself. Usually it is pretty good about figuring those kinds of things.
This is discrimination, no option for trans.
There is “amail.com” which is a free email service.
I’m happy that I joined gmail before they started all of that humbug. ;-)

I have noticed several websites asking for my mobile number ‘for security purposes’.

I have tried to keep my phone number as private as possible. There is no way I am giving it to Yahoo or Google or Facebook or similar so they can sell it to telemarketers.

Yep. I just set up an account for my cat and no photo required.
You do realize those are optional.
I have like 4 Gmail and 5 hotmail accounts. (Lots of free web storage for junk)
Some have pictures, some don’t.
Only my main account has my phone as it is tied to my android account.
Never had any issues.
