Its my goal to see the Northern Lights at least once in my life.

From Texas.

Well I hope your goal is never fulfilled. The last time the Northern Lights were seen in Texas was probably the Carrington event which allowed people in Cuba to see the “Northern” Lights.

Today while a Carrington event would be interesting, perhaps beautiful and light up the night with enough light to read a news paper in it, it could be disastrous to many electrical/electronic devices.

I suggest you take a cruise to Alaska and hope we don't have the opportunity to see the Northern light here in the South.

A FReeper commented once that they saw the Northern Lights from New York’s Central Park.

I’ll probably never make it to the arctic circle, which is kinda sad.

Give me convenience, or give me death!

Was in Key West at the time when I saw them. The article says you could see them from texas.
