I feel your pain. Our oldest is a libertarian/progressive (but I repeat myself), the middle is a bleeding heart liberal but doesn’t vote (thank God), and the youngest started out supporting Carson but voted for hiLIARy his first time being eligible to vote. I think there is still hope for him, though.
Where did we go wrong? IDK. The oldest two went to private Christian school their whole lives, the youngest is finishing up being home schooled.
Sigh.
It’s much harder for young people to buck pop culture and their friends’ opinions, they’re looking more for approval and acceptance, wanting to belong and fit in, in the here and now. They don’t have the years of perspective in which to view politics. As they age, they’ll see the damage done and shift back rightward. Your efforts during their childhood likely won’t have been wasted.
Did you inculcate them with conservative political views as they were growing up? My grandkids were raised with Rush/Sean on the radio every time we were together, it rubs off on them.
I'm sorry about your kids, try converting the grandkids. BTW, what were you teaching the young one, re: politics?
