In the latest example of everyday industries being injected with social justice and race based politics, Outside Magazine has published an article in it's latest release lamenting that the outdoors industry has become "too White".
Outside Magazine is a publication, both online and offline, that focuses on health, fitness and outdoor activities, delivering its readers an education on the current trends or topics in those fields. The publication typically releases articles with headlines such as "Fit and Healthy Now", "How Not to Organize Your Gear Shed" or "Want to Run Fast? Listen to Your Gut", all of which are informative and educational for fitness buffs or the adventurous types.
That's why the magazine's recent release titled "The Outdoor Industry Has Too Many White Dudes" tends to stand outs among its fellow articles offering travel or health advice to its readers.
It doesn't help when the article starts out by informing the reader that the outdoors industry has a "diversity problem".
The outdoor world has a diversity problem. Few places is this fact more evident than at the biannual industry trade show Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City. Almost everybody on the floor looked like me—a white dude from Oregon—right down to the flannel shirt and trucker cap.This isn't just an isolated topic in a random magazine either, as many other large publications have published similar articles with titles such as "Why Can't Silicon Valley Solve Its Diversity Problem", "Calling Out Fashion's Major Diversity Problem", "Asset Managers Confront Ethnic Diversity Problem" and many more.
In fact, it appears almost every mainstream publication has insinuated that all industries in America have a "diversity problem", and the brightest business leaders in the country are all putting their heads together trying to solve it. According to Gallup Polling, most Americans tend to overestimate the percentage of the country that falls into the classification of a minority, as in reality only 12.3% of citizens are Black while Hispanics account for only 12.5%.
Often times when politicians or business leaders say we have a "diversity issue", that phrase could also be translated into having a "too many White people" problem, which is yet another example of the mainstream media constantly dividing the population along racial lines.
Why is it there are never any complaints about countries in South America, Africa or Asia not having enough diversity, as there are a much lower percentage of caucasians when compared to other races there, and this diversity movement seems exclusively centered on Western nations where Whites make up the majority?
To be fair, the article did focus on several CEOs in the Outdoors industry that are trying to target minorities more in their marketing efforts, but the fact that the story essentially complains about there being "too many White dudes" in any industry is the very definition of judging a person based on their skin color, also known as "racism".
The Democrats would like to say that President Trump achieving such high support among White voters was due to some sort of "inherent racism", yet with Whites constantly being maligned by the press, media and entertainment industries is it any wonder they flocked to a candidate who wasn't trying to tell them all how racist they are?
Too often in today's culture an emphasis is placed on ones skin color, rather than their merits, personality or achievements. Color comes first for the extreme left, and they wear that focus as a badge of honor, constantly using it to "virtue signal" to others in attempts to prove their believed moral superiority. In fact, they are only espousing a racist mentality, as they should be considering people as human beings first, all part of the same world and same species regardless of the color of their skin.
Good luck trying to explain that one to your liberal friends or co-workers though.
You said that blacks moving from up north are afraid of the woods and that they made a mistake moving south.
That implies that there aren’t woods up north.

While it is certainly sensible that outdoor activities should be open to all citizens, trying to measure involvement by religion, gender, handedness, eye-dominance or racial background are bound to end up in socialist “planned outcome” territory.
Outside Magazine started out with a good approach back almost four decades ago. It soon turned to leftist drivel in almost every issue and became unreadable. The five year older “Backpacker” magazine was saved as Outside drove readers off with stupid emphasis on PC.
Don’t get me wrong, Backpacker is probably full of people with the same politics — they just have common sense and don’t let it get central in the articles.
I haven’t picked up or read an Outside magazine for twenty years and won’t now ever again.
What about elephant poachers? Are they all white? They’re outdoors.
Hell of a LOT more than mASSachusetts, old lady!
I predict that Outside magazine will cease publication in the next couple of years.
Marketing 101 - Pissing off your customers is not a strategy for success.
I never see them outside their homes much less a hiking trail.

FWIW I saw a pair of black dudes hunting during the black powder season in western Colorado. Once.
Lots of black people like the outdoors, mostly rural blacks in the South.
There were plenty of black cowboys.
It is partly an economic thing. Most people who spend time in wilderness are on the upper end of the economic scale.
Isn’t nighttime looting an outdoor activity?
A black co-worker told me that only white people go hiking.
Now that I am a lot richer, still white ( Imagine that !), and have a car, I love the state and National Parks. Travel? No problem!

The Marxist doctrine of egalitarianism is rearing its ugly head. Identity politics is the root of this ideology. When will we look upon human beings for the content of their character and not God’s paint job? My answer: Because it is all about changing America into a godless Marxist state.
Come to think of it, not enough white dudes in the hood.
We need to set up a cultural exchange program.
It will get worse as they get older.
The 1960's dopers and bomb throwers who were the anarchists, America hatters and socialists of their day seemed like goofy idiots back then.
But they moved into politics, government, the education system, the mass media and other positions of influence.
Today they run the democrat party, the big cities, the big universities and many of the big corporations and charities.
They infest the judiciary, federal and state governments and every aspect of American life.
Now history is repeating itself with the Snowflake Generation.
The outlook is not sunny and bright.
So , what do they suggest? Banning me from the Grand Canyon?
Idiots!
Right - Diversity regardless of talent, education or experience.
If it ain’t The South - it’s “up north”.
