Based on my contacts with many transplanted New Yorkers, I get the impression that what conservatism exists in the Five Boroughs is mainly among the Italians.
Sensible folks with well-developed BS detectors.
I do know that Staten Island and the Orthodox Jewish parts of Brooklyn voted solidly for Trump.
Are there any other pockets of resistance in NYC — other than the editorial offices of the NY Post?

My relatives of Italian descent in Suffolk County, on Long Island, voted for Trump 2-to-1, as did my relatives in Nassau County.
Trump carried Suffolk County, but not Nassau County.
My sister and I voted for Trump here in Maine’s 2nd Congressional district.
