The smartest dog I ever owned was a mutt. Had mixed everything in him.
You could tell him to go get his leash and he would! We did not train him! Tell him to go get a certain toy and he’d get it! Football, baseball, tennis ball, he knew the difference, and again we did not train him to do it...................
Nemo is a smart pup..he’s been taking this cough suppressant for his trachea collapse(Which doesn’t do much for it unfortunately) I guess the pill tastes NASTY(Or smells bad) he is supposed to take it every night and my sis checks the surrounding area to see if he spit it out..a few days ago she found the pill the next morning, in the other room LOL..he is a sneaky one his brain at 13 years old, smart as a young pup..just wish we can fix the cough. He had a teeth cleaning done a few days ago, Vet said it would help his cough tremendously, so far no difference
Had a cocker spaniel...was getting ready for work...he came in bathroom, and I said “Gus, where is my watch?” My watch had been missing for a few days. I didn’t think much...was just talking....he left....came back a minute later...WITH MY WATCH IN HIS MOUTH! He was so smart the Obedience School people wanted me to show him...but I was there to teach HIM obedience....which he never really wanted to learn...I was always the 3rd pack animal to him.. Gus was first, my husband 2nd, and me 3rd...which is why he tried to bite me AT OBEDIENCE SCHOOL! Gus was something else.
