Good thing if true.
Depends on what is in it, but the GOP has in my opinion been a big part of the problem, for many years.
As long as a replacement for Obamacare is offered, and it actually is a good plan, this is a very welcome move.
Will wait to hear more, on this issue. Good to see it is high on the priority list, if this in fact is from Trump.
Best replacement is free market.
Worst replacement is “single payer”
I hope it’s the kind of ‘replacement’ that repeals more stifling and burdensome regulations.
If it’s coming from that Rino Collins i wouldn’t plan on anything good about it.
WOW!!! I’m impressed!! Didn’t think a lot of trump’s promises were going to go anywhere with the gutless republicans being thorns on his side! God bless him!
The democrats have been using the Cloward-Piven tactic of trying to overload the system to force their agendas through.
Looks as if Trump might be reversing the tactic on them.
If he keeps hitting them like this Wham! Bam! every day he will have their heads spinning for 100 days.
He’ll keep them off the streets and out of trouble busy fighting his agenda - less time for them to meddle and create problems.
Every time I see Susan Collins, I think she’s a high school lunch lady who had a day off and wandered into the Senate building. She doesn’t impress me much.
I want to be covered even though I have sleep apnea. Do not tell me I have to be without coverage for six months when you consider short term insurance coverage. Don’t penalize tax deductions because my majority of income is unearned. I have to pay taxes on it.
And can you get rid of that stupid water heater epa law.
That’s my want list
I don’t think a good complete plan can be done that quickly.
Parts could.
Enough to ‘jam’ the Dems into helping out with the vote maybe.
Its very simple....REPEAL the F’ING MANDATE!!! Then let the F’ING creature die of starvation! Then move on to Killing Isis.
State inspection laws, health laws, and laws for regulating the internal commerce of a State, and those which respect turnpike roads, ferries, &c. are not within the power granted to Congress [emphases added]. Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
But if Trumpcare requires new federal government powers, powers that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds, then Trump will need to do the following. He will need to work with the states and Congress to successfully propose a Trumpcare amendment to the Constitution to the states.
Note that the states are not obligated to ratify any proposed amendment to the Constitution.
Otherwise, if Trumpcare is not established within the framework of the Constitution, then Trumpcare will unconstitutionally expand the federal governments powers as bad as Obamacare did.
Question: We have a republican president, house and senate. President Trump will put in a new supreme court justice soon. Should he entertain replacing our three other older supreme court justices while we control it all? I love Justice Thomas, but these folks are very old, health is a big problem, IE our need for this new justice. Should Mr. Trump entertain asking them to step down now and allow him to replace all three with much younger conservative, Constitutional strong justices while we control that process. While I pray The Donald is there for 8 years, we just never know what might happen. I would not be shocked if the One World Gov types try every thing they can to get rid of him so their agenda can get back on line. But, I think putting in four young strong justices right now is good for the future AND if something happens to one of the commies on the other side, we could have FIVE and control the court for 20-30 years. Otherwise, we might run the risk in 4 or 8 years, and I don't see some of them going 8 more years, of a dim putting in their replacements down the road. If God is good to us, if we SEEK Him daily in prayer, maybe He grants us Donald for 8 and VP Pence for 8 more. Now with that, we can all honestly say: GOD IS INDEED GOOD!!! Amen.
extremely unlikely this plan is endorsed by anyone in the GOP except Collins and Bill Cassidy (the MD, who btw is another GOP Senator, not House member), not to mention this isn’t “breaking”, as these two announced this a week ago:
The GOP is slated to meet on 1/27/2017 in Philadelphia to try to hash out the outline of the obamacare replacement.
President Trump and others in the GOP leadership have said they can’t rush a repeal/replacement and end up with a worse mess than obamacare, because among other things they’ll lose big time during the next election after all the promises they made.
My guess is the Collins/Cassidy “introduction”, if it even happens given the McConnell controls the bills before the Senate, is nothing more than a publicity stunt and/or a deliberate attempt to muddy the waters and hurt President Trump. Collins is the ultimate RINO/GOPe, and Cassidy seemed perfectly happy to “work with Hillary”, whom he expected to beat President Trump:

I hope the replacement will be freedom - the free market. My bet is that it will be a much smaller regime of restrictions, hopefully including just the most popular elements of Obamacare, plus the right to do business across state lines.
