Obozo thought that making gas and oil expensive, and coal un-mine-able would advance “green energy. What a moron. Does he know how inefficient those turbines are when there are no tax c4redits, they have to be replaced every 20 years and the bad parts re-cycled?
And, talk about ugly. Geez. Good bye to turbines.

Weather and sunlight creates uncertainty for wind and solar power!!!
They are admitting they are not viable businesses without massive government subsidies and mandates.

It doesn’t “create uncertainty”
Wind and solar are OVER.

Reagan’s victory over Carter in 1980 ended the alternative energy boondoggle that was going on at that time.
Elections have consequences.

I expect both Elon Musk companies, Tesla and SolarCity to have problems going forward. If the “green” energy rebates go away, much of the advantage for those products goes with it.

I would say it’s the laws of physics, combined with basic economic infeasibility, that creates uncertainty for wind and solar.

Good. Much of the taxpayer money “disappeared” into the pockets of LIB idiots. Where are the forensic accountants?

Very simple; people get to choose them if they want, just no special federal subsidy or promotion of them.
If the only thing that makes any form of energy “efficient” in dollars and cents, is direct federal subsidy and promotion, then in open markets they’d loose.

yeah, i don’t think there any uncertainty at all; I’m absolutely certain that all Fed subsidies of all types for solar and wind will be eliminated. part of that coming 10% budget cut no doubt.

Both wind and solar work but intermittently. They are fine for an off the grid house if you are willing to adjust your life around not having power always available in abundance.
This does not work very well for a factory, a hospital or even a traffic light.
Should they ever come up with a very small battery that will hold a weeks worth of power for a house, requires no maintenance, recharges on only an hour of sunlight and lasts for a good twenty years, why then solar power might become all the rage. At least in the more sunny areas of the country.

Trump has nothing against these forms of energy - when they become economically viable, he will welcome the businesses that got them working at a cost that makes the company viable as a stand-alone company, w/o government assistance/funding into the fold of the economic powerhouse.
Until then, they are just wasteful welfare programs.

Good! Most of the ‘alternative energy’ schemes have been boondoggles with the corporations collecting federal dollars, then closing up shop.
