Pay no attention to that scruffy-looking man standing on the corner with the sandwich board proclaiming, The end is nigh.
Hes nothing more than the liberal elite in disguise.
He represents the sore losers from the Democratic side, the socialists who have overtaken academia, the Tinseltowners whose white-picket fences are too high for them to see the real world, and a media that overwhelmingly showed its left-wing colours and got angrier by the minute when ordinary Americans started paying them no heed.
And, by the way, the man with the sandwich board? Hes wrong that the end is nigh.
It has arrived.
With the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States, it now spells the end of American politics as the mainstream media knows it, the end of the kind of political correctness that has crippled freedom of speech, the end of putting often airy-fairy environmental theories ahead of job creation, the end of normalized international alliances, and the end of any social media niceties as much as such niceties exist, trolls or no trolls.
It is now open season on everything.
America, and the world, now has a U.S. president who will regularly bypass traditional White House press conferences by going directly to his Twitter account to lay waste to his critics.
As he put it, I can go bing, bing, bing, and respond immediately to a growing list of 20.4 million followers regarding whatever he sees as dishonest news.
His presidency, much of it which will be played out on Twitter, will be Trumps latest reality show.
No one needs to anticipate Trumps tone going forward.
In a recent interview with the Times of London and Germanys Bild, for example, Trump called NATO obsolete. And he slammed German Chancellor Angela Merkel, one of the United States greatest allies, for making a catastrophic mistake in opening her borders to more than one million Syrian refugees.
This prompted Germanys outspoken Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel to hit back with his contention that the refugee crisis was the result of faulty, interventionist American policies in the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
So it had begun even before it began.
In the lead-up to Trumps taking the oath of office, the Washington Post used the word brutal in its headline to describe Trumps pre-inauguration polling numbers, stating only 40% of Americans have a positive opinion of their new president.
But that probably undersells just how unpopular Trump is, added the Post, indicating he has an unfavourable rating going into his presidency that is higher than that of former presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama combined.
Does anyone think Donald Trump really cares?
A little over a year ago, they were calling him a joke candidate who didnt stand a chance an obnoxious, misogynist, egotistical billionaire boor with all the social graces of a pig.
Today they are calling him Mr. President.
As wild-ass actor Charlie Sheen was wont to say during his days of derangement, Its called winning!

Indeed. Just a few more hours. Waiting to see this guy gone forever from the White House. Waiting to see if Hillary get's pardoned. Waiting for the RealPresidentDonaldTrump.
A prayer to Americans.....
O God
As we wake up on this historic day we see new hope for our country and world. Let the old bitterness turn to a new resolve and let us not be complacent again.
It is only you that made this happen.
Always be with us.
Amen. I jog past the little yellow church every day...fun to see Trump go inside just now.
Counting down: 2 hours 25 minutes to go!
I signed up to Twitter yesterday to follow one person: Trump.
Just saw the fawning media showing Bambi’s last time in the Oval Office. I almost stood up and cheered.
Oh I want to say something but better not.
