I remember him from Robocop and Twin Peaks. Was great in both.

Lost track of him thereafter, but the man could act. RIP

I suspected that he might have had a stroke, based on his speech patterns.

Yeah, I saw that episode .. but I didn’t know he was being written out of the series. I sincerely can’t say I’ll miss him .. his character was really scummy.

Oh man, only 61. Throat cancer. RIP. I don’t watch NCIS LA but I remember him from Crossing Jordan, Twin Peaks (which I mostly finsihed watching on Amazon Prime), and a few movie roles, he was the villain in “Blank Check” a dumb movie I liked as a kid, he was in Robocop. He had a bit role in Star Trek 3.

I had no idea Rosemary Clooney was his mother.

My 8th grade teacher was named Ferrer, he said he was related to family, he looked like he was so I believe it.

“He had a bit role in Star Trek 3.”

He was also in the movie “Traffic”.

“My 8th grade teacher was named Ferrer, he said he was related to family, he looked like he was so I believe it.”

That’s cool!

Bummer. I saw him in a Night Visions episode called "Patterns" and thought he did a credible job as the psychiatrist.

[sidebar]That episode is a tour-de-force by Malcolm McDowell. Great facial expressions. Showed it to my nephew and now when we send packages, we'll always write "Five is good" (see 12:15) on the label.

My favorite Cyrano, minimalist sets, B/W TV production.

That is my memory of from his body of work.

I also recall he has a very famous sister but I don’t recall who it is.

It was also Rob Lowe’s “comeback vehicle” but yes, it was probably the best TV/movie adaptation of any Stephen King book.

RIP to a great actor! If he was a lib, like his cousin George, he probably didn’t want to stick around to see a Trump presidency.

He’s the son of the late Jose Ferrer, also a fine actor, and Rosemary Clooney, cousin to George.............

Yep, I was hoping that maybe they would make a new Dune movie from one of the series prequels books and cast him in the role of a younger Emperor Shaddam Corrino that his father played so well........
