The Washington Post Takes Anti-Trump Bias To A New Level
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 1/17/2017 | John Merline

The mainstream press loves to tell readers that it can be trusted because it employs professional journalists backed by layers of editors. Oh, and they're all unbiased.

So how to explain a recent Washington Post headline, which manages both to misrepresent its own poll and expose the ridiculous extent to which its reporters and editors will go to bash President-elect Donald Trump?

The story is about a Washington Post/ABC News poll that asks, among other things, whether Trump should sell his business to avoid any possible conflicts of interest while president.

Trump has taken steps to avoid these conflicts, although not to the satisfaction of some in the media — many of whom probably wouldn't be satisfied no matter what Trump did.

What did the poll find? It found that most (52%) think the steps Trump has taken are enough to "separate Trump's business interests from his obligations as president." On the other hand, only 42% said that Trump should sell his business.

The opposite of love is indifference.

When you don’t matter anymore to that girl you are crazy about. You do and say ANYTHING outrageous to get her attention but she doesn’t care anymore.

You beg and scream at the top of your lungs, and no response.

The US is breaking up with msm, slowly but surely.

The 1/17/16 NYP OP-ED piece by F.H. Buckley (George Mason U law prof) nails the near-fatal blow Trump delivered to Democrats/progressives.

EXCERPT--- Trump’s victory was a defeat of their conceit that a progressive was above politics (party machinery's their god), in possession of spotless truth, that the arc of history bent only their way, and for such people there’s no room for compromise and no space for politics.......the progressive thought he’d only muddy himself if he treated opponents with anything more than disdain.

That’s how President Obama conducted himself in office and that’s how many Democrats see Republicans, and that’s why they’re not emotionally able to accept their defeat.

Trump showed progressives that they were self-deceived, that they weren’t in sole possession of the right and the good......and that’s a deep psychic wound.

Buckley's compelling insights..... "that progressives think they are in possession of spotless truth, that they’d only muddy themselves if they treated opponents with anything more than disdain"......

....precisely explains why Hillary actually thought she could get away w/ calling a huge swath of American voters "deplorable and "irredeemable"....and expected no repercussions.

Also explains Meryl Streep's outrageous comments.

It’s the business community VS the “deep state.”

It's just competence vs incompetence. Incompetence has had a lock on the country since Bill Clinton and Al Gore. The failing of the greatest generation was to abdicate control to the 60's radical leftist crybabies who became sycophant wannabies while those who could do anything did other things. I know too many of the greatest generation who died in place with baby boomer sycophants succeeding to power.

That crowd (Clinton, Bush II, Obama, the Bush III wannabee) have destroyed the country.

Now we have Trump promoting folk who did something, and Washington DC is scared. building Wolman Rink or Trump Tower or doing the Post Office vs the folks who pay people to fix the potholes a lot of money without actually fixing the potholes. The folks who can't uphold rule of law because folks who did nothing are out.

Buckley's compelling insights..... "that progressives think they are in possession of spotless truth, that they’d only muddy themselves if they treated opponents with anything more than disdain"......

Hence my comparison of the people living in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, DC with the denizens of the fictional capital of Panem from Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games novel trilogy.

The plan was probably to force Trump to divest, and then impeach him so he has nothing to go back to when they throw him out of office.

G. Gordon Liddy used to refer to the Washington Post as “Washington’s quaint, alternative newspaper” on his radio program. From what I’ve seen of the dead tree edition, it is about the size of one of those small town newspapers that you can pick up for free at many grocery stores. If they keep printing articles like this, the small town papers may soon have better circulation.
