I get frustrated with the Chinese-made crap that we are forced to settle for. The quality stinks. I find that Crate and Barrel, Williams-Sonoma and Table le Sur have some good quality items that are not all made in China. I have a KitchenAid stand mixer that was made in the USA and it has never given me a moment of trouble.
After looking and looking for a coffee maker made in the USA, I finally found one on Ebay. Used but it works just fine for us.
