Companies that support research, building, maintaining, safety, recycling, and delivery of nuclear weapons :

Boeing (planes /components) ,
Northrup Grumman (B2, components),
General Dynamics (tactical B61 capable fighters, major Ohio SSBN upgrade),
GenCorp Aerojet (safety, plane load),
Huntington Ingalls, (nuclear subs/ships and safety),
Lockheed Martin (Planes, electronics, fusing, bomb hookups, etc) Babcock & Wilcox (uranium enrichment) ,
Betchel (research),
Honeywell (safety, components) ,
URS Corp(Y12 plant ) ,
GE (housing/release/guidance/electrics) ,
Aecom Flour (warhead assembly and plant services) ,
Jacobs Engineering (nuclear facilities and lifecycle),
Alliant Techsystems (targeting/battle damage assessment(BDA), and
Rockwell Collins (guidance/gyros)
IBM (super computers) .

Good to keep an eye out on some of these names. Many smaller companies also support nuclear transporting, storage, and safety, (ITT, Raytheon, Freightliner/Ford/GM, Colt/FN/Motorola, etc), but the big government contracts to the companies above.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Why small to mid cap?

It’s going to be hard to find one in this sector with good growth potential, and there will probably be no dividend yield.

As a broker, I can't recommend anything to you since I don't know anything about your goals, suitability, etc.

However, with that being said, I have my clients in ATK orbital, KTOS, GD, Lockheed Martin, UTX, TXT, and some others named above.

I own the defense ETF, ITA. It’s performed quite well.

Don’t like single company risk.

Don’t forget to look into Oil and Gas Exploration, Services and Productions ETFs. Trump has announced plans to sell leases on land to Oil and Gas companies. About a Trillion dollars worth to pay for infrastructure spending. These are made up of many companies in their sectors. You could look for a Defense Sector ETF to capture several companies.

XOP S&P Oil and Gas Exploration and Production
XES S&P Oil and Gas Equipment and Services

Looking at my Bloomberg and corporate inventory, you may want to consider corporate bonds (but check with a broker that is registered in your state, and knows your suitability, etc): Defense bonds trades this morning:

GD Corps 3.60% due 2042 @ 98.5 ish
BA corp 3.365% due 2046 @ 95-ish
NOC 7.75% due 2031 @ 141.00 =ish
LMT 4.70% due 2046 @ 109-111.00 -ish

If you are a Qualified Institutional Buyer (>$5mm in account), or an Accredited investor (AI) (>$1mm in account), you may want to consider high yield defense bonds from Huntington-Ingles. They are all 144a bonds and some private placement on the secondary.

Actually if your here at a political web site asking for that type info you may need some basic schooling in investing.

But since you “aks’ed” you may want to research (its a key to successful investing ) which no load mutual funds holds defense contractor stocks and start there.

In addition to the great recommendations above, you might try any company having to do with the rebuilding of our Navy.

I would invest in associates of OFA (Obama for America). He will control the most massive shakedown “charity” the planet has ever seen.
