There's a video I've seen of an incident in a police station where a guy arrested for shooting a cop took a pistol out of his waistband (while he was left alone for a minute) and shot himself right in the head.If the video was fake it was a damn good job because it looked 100% real.

Ideations??? Police being trained in psyche-babble now?

Understatement of the year. Handcuffing him in front, might make sense, sort of, depending on the guy and circumstances, but still very stupid. Not searching the guy first - unforgiveable. You would think a child would have known as much.

Assuming this all transpired as presented of course.

A gun can be missed, but he should have been cuffed behind his back.

It's easy to for some people to slip their cuffed hands to the front. I've seen it done a number of times. The big question is how did he get into the back of a patrol car without being thoroughly searched. Someone will have stand tall on the carpet and try to answer that.
