I, too, ordered a couple from library. “Hlllbilly Elegy”, I’m No. 92 on the list — but library does own 22 copies. Probably will be a summer read!

It was waitlisted at my library, too, but I got it pretty quickly last summer, and then read it in a day. It moves right along. With 22 copies out, you may have it by the first of February.

Read it and couldn’t put it down. Having grown up in Ohio to parents who took the hillbilly highway, there was a lot there to relate to:)

I read “Hillbilly Elegy” and was very disappointed. It was poorly written, had no continuous thread and the author came across as an East Coast snob. I think it adds fuel to the fire that the midwest Trump voter is nothing but an uneducated hayseed hick.
