Thank you for the post and information. The last few days I have had a nasty chest/sinus cold. Thanks to your post I decided to make a “modified” Hot Toddy, let’s call it a “Morning Toddy”.

14oz hot water, 1/2 a lemon (juice and pulp), 2tsp honey and cayenne pepper to taste.

Drank it down and WOW! After about a dozen kleenex it is safe to say I am breathing great with both sinus’ clear.

Great stuff!

I make a pepper-infused espresso that works in the same manner. I love black coffee and hot peppers, so the meld is delicious. It’s simple and a great way to warm up and get the blood flowing.

Simply filled the charger with one shot of coffee and place a few slices of your favorite pepper on top of the charge. Leave the seeds and membranes in the pepper for heat. Brew as usual and enjoy.

The brewing process brings out the flavors in the pepper, and you’ll get a good burn in the throat. A dash of dark chocolate or cinnamon will make this one of the most complex drinks you’ll ever have.
