ATLANTA SNOWMAGEDDON, 2017!

In the last few days, leading up to Snowmageddon 2017, I was warned many times that a devastating snowstorm was headed to Atlana, GA. The weatherdroids were all very upset (and yet somehow excited), and Governor Deal declared a State Emergency over it.

From the photos I will share, below, you will see why.

When I woke up and went outside, I was greeted by towering snow drifts like this. There is absolutely no way I would be able to step over these monsterous drifts and get out my front door. Time to try getting out the back patio.

The back patio was even worse. I did, however, see how I could use some decorative holiday pumpkins to clamber over the incredibly high snowdrifts. After about an hour, I was able to see why TV reception went out.

The TV Dish was completely covered with snow and thick ice. There was no way I could get all of it off, so I decided to see how the car fared.

There was NO way I was going to get this car out of the snow drifts completely covering it. Unless I called Triple-A or waited until spring thaw, I was going NOWHERE.

I managed to struggle around to the front, and was greeted with this sight: Our apartment complex pool was completely buried by blizzard snow.

Obviously, this harrowing tale is meant to warn all of you of the incredible power of Mother Nature and the deadly nature of winter snowstorms.

Laz, I can’t help but notice that photo of your
satellite Dish, You really need to replace it
with a current on as they are much smaller nowadays.
The one you have is even bigger than your car!
I’m surprised they allow that in the parking lot!

My son and his family, who live in the Atlanta area, were visiting me down here in Florida. They raced home Thursday to beat the storm instead of staying with me for a few more days. Thanks weather forecasting clowns.

Great thread. It reminds me of the one, years ago, when someone posted a picture of a volcano on the TV and there was a lamp reflected on the TV screen. Anyone remember that?
