“It’s just interesting to me that we’re still dealing with this as a country 54 years later.”

That alone has meaning. Nobody has reasonable doubts about Lincoln, Garfield, Reagan, etc. But the mass of the country has a very strong sense that the JFK story is pure cold war BS from our intelligence agencies.
The details might never be known exactly, but the story they told us is clearly a bit much.

The Marilyn Monroe death and theft of her diary are just as big of scandals. IF the sitting president/Attorney General could kill (or drive to suicide) one of the top box office names and rifle through her belongings before any investigation could properly occur, then no one in America was safe from their government.
