I assume it is a Company Name....
Goggle says a Vole is a meadow mouse,...a small critter.

Voles main source of food is hypogeous fungi.

“...Vole will have to leap over ... media favorite Apple”

“Media favorite” Apple? They must be reading different media than me. Apple is less popular with the media than Trump.

Voles main source of food is hypogeous fungi. At my house, it was tulip bulbs, seemingly.
We gave up "feeding" them years ago.

Hey Swordmaker, you'll get a kick out of this one. Particularly: "...Apple, on the other hand, is a hardware company and has very little direction it can go. Its shares peaked last year and the best it can hope for is to stablise..."
Humor for a Thursday evening... can't wait to see how Redmond manages to more than double. Anything's possible, I suppose.

I also have no clue what “Vole” is.
Article does not say when it will reach $1 trillion. Next year, next decade?

But, but, but Microsoft can’t afford pay Americans competitive wages so they need MORE H-1b visas. /SARCASM

Apple makes billion dollar profits and uses suicidal coolies to make their phones then imports them duty free to sell to unemployed US citizens.

That is a common field mouse and I have lots of experience with them.
To: Steven Scharf
The common field mouse is a vole and not a mouse. Favorite food of black snakes the world over.

Sinopec is a quasi-publicly traded company with its assets guaranteed by the Chinese government. As such it, like FNMA is not in competition for “1st trillion dollar company.” There are several such quasi-government/publicly traded companies with values over $1 trillion.
