Obama's exit interview: I could've won again
cnn ^

Arguing that Americans still subscribe to his vision of progressive change, President Barack Obama asserted in an interview recently he could have succeeded in this year's election if he was eligible to run.

"I am confident in this vision because I'm confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I could've mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it," Obama told his former senior adviser David Axelrod in an interview for the "The Axe Files" podcast, produced by the University of Chicago Institute of Politics and CNN.

"I know that in conversations that I've had with people around the country, even some people who disagreed with me, they would say the vision, the direction that you point towards is the right one," Obama said in the interview, which aired Monday. "In the wake of the election and Trump winning, a lot of people have suggested that somehow, it really was a fantasy," Obama said of the hope-and-change vision he heralded in 2008. "What I would argue is, is that the culture actually did shift, that the majority does buy into the notion of a one America that is tolerant and diverse and open and full of energy and dynamism."

Stupid arrogance. First interview after inauguration when the right question is asked, Trump should say he could have beat Obama easier than he did Jeb Bush.

If he would’ve run against any republican besides Trump he’s probably right. Against Trump probably not.

I think that in four years the democrat party will get even less votes then they did this year. I also think the republican party will win a super majority in two years. If Donald Trump is the man I think he is the democrats are in big trouble.

The nation has perhaps learned very little, most unfortunately, but the collective wisdom over time that prevented a third or fourth term of a President, is proven to be most providential in the present day.

Narcissism in an elected official of high rank does not augur well for the nation.

the democrat establishment in cahoots with federal agencies and the MSM had to cheat and implement thuggery in 2012 for the obozo to win a second term. The old “ You can keep your doctor “ lie / ploy, the obozo legacy that lead to the demise of the democrat party.

I disagree. Obama ran against RINOs who were afraid to attack him because he is black and they shared many of his beliefs. Biden said of one of the debates, he did not know if Romney was debating him or endorsing him. If Trump ran against him and his lacky media it would have been different. Questions would be asked like, “Where were you on the night of Benghazi?”

I suspect he will.

You didn’t win the second time.

It was 120% turnout in heavy democrat locations. And you only have to do it in about 60 counties out of 3500.

Obama is, unfortunately, probably correct. And, it would be guaranteed that within 10 years of his next term in office we would be exactly like Venezuela at the worst and Argentina at the best.

I think the reason Hillary was solidly trounced is her sub otr of, and vow to continue with Obamas policies.

His exuberance probably comes from the fact that he has a better network of cheating than Hillary.

But, we’ll never know, will we Barack. All we have is your bloated ego.

The people he talked to around the country might have voted for him again, but the people he DIDN’T talk to might have forestalled a disaster like that.
