You’ve also got Vesuvius nearby, which supposedly blows every 2000 years, the last time was 79 AD, you may have heard of it, it was called , “Pompeii”.
Sounds like an ideal place to build an immigrant camp. Maybe the steam and tremors would turn then into Christians.
