This is actually a really good article. The author clearly and correctly lays out the history of the "long march through the institutions". If you didn't read the whole article at the link, you should, just for that education alone.

But, then, the author draws the complete wrong conclusion about why Trump won; he didn't win because the progressive takeover of the institutions failed. He won because Hillary was the absolute worst candidate the left could have fielded. Sanders would have been the best. The young, indoctrinated, useful idiots were ready to elect him to lead their socialist utopia. When Wikileaks showed Hillary and the DNC had sandbagged him, it was over for the left...for this election.

This is not some huge turning point though. The progressive stranglehold on the institutions is still in place and working as planned.

Trump better do a phenomenal job in his first term in order to be reelected. There is no way in hell that the left will find a candidate as bad as Clinton next time around.

Who do the Democrats have for 2020? If the Republicans are smart, they would identify the strongest candidates and marginalize them, starting in February, 2017.
