Bad idea, Free republic works on any web browser ever made, you could use it on an old windows 3.1 computer from 1990 on dial up, I doubt any other forum software will let you do that. yes its old but it works well no point replaces what has worked with something that will be basically bloatware.

You apparently do not understand the beauty of simplicity. FR has the best format going. No bells and whistles, no flashy, worthless graphics. It’s easy and intuitive for people from 8 to 80.

Freerepublic is to most other formum engines I’ve used what Dos is to Windows.

And both have their advantages.

That being said, after working with all those other forums and then coming here, I have to do a technology paradigm shift.
