My understanding it was in abeyance pending a ruling from the Federal judge, not until the Michigan SC heard the case.

It’s over unless the Michigan SC for some reason overturns the lower state court of appeals decision. Very unlikely.

I'm almost certain that this is not true. The Federal judge made no attempt to rule on the merits of the recount petition. His order was simply to ignore the Michigan mandated waiting period and to continue the recount until he lifted his recount order.

He has now lifted his recount order, but without ruling on the original merits.

Any review of the Michigan Court of Appeals would proceed to the Michigan Supreme Court and then to the Federal system.
