The most refreshing thing about the campaign is that Trump did not speak to us as if we are imbeciles from whom the harsh realities of the world must be hidden—he talked to us, the people, as if he is completely aware of the issues we know are facing the country, and he is dedicated to doing something to fix them. His message resonated.
His closing campaign commercial was spot on. “You, We, Us” were the operative pronouns.
