PLANO, TEXAS A Plano high school teacher was arrested last week and accused of having a sexual relationship with one of her students.
The student, a 16-year-old boy, told police he had a relationship with his algebra teacher, Alaina Ferguson, in which they had sex on a park bench in Lewisville, in the back of his pickup after a football game and in her apartment several times, WFAA reported.
The relationship began when the boy wrote his Snapchat username at the top of his algebra test at Plano Senior High School and Ferguson contacted him through the social media app, WFAA reported. She was living with her fiance during at least some of her relationship with the boy, court documents said.
“Ms. Ferguson told [the student] that she knew it was not the right thing to do, but it felt right at the time, and that she was going to break it off with her fiancé because she didn't feel anything with him,” court documents state, according to WFAA.
Ferguson, 23, faces a charge of sexual assault. She was booked into the Collin County Jail on Nov. 30 and posted the $100,000 bond a day later. The Plano school district told WFAA that Ferguson was hired in August and resigned in October.

Its all a bunch of BS. All of this “Eat, Pray, Love” self-fulfillment crap that women are buying into. All of the “I deserve more” philosophy, etc, etc.

IIRC, my female Jr. High (early 70s) math teacher was in the Marine Corps in WWII. Scary stuff.

A lot of these articles go into how frequently the student and teacher had sex and in what rooms of the house they did it, etc. Sometimes I wonder if this might just be encouraging more teachers to go this direction, by maybe sounding more exciting than their current sex life.
But is she good at math?
yes. let the young girls teach K-5. only old meanies for Jr and High school.
There was one in my junior high, but such things just weren't considered back then (late 60s). She was faithful to her husband, who was doing a tour in Nam.
A classmate and I helped her as coaches for her work at an after school program for elementary school kids. She treated us to a day at Stinson Beach, as I recall. No way would such an unchaperoned trip be allowed today.

I get what you’re saying ... I think its more of a cultural issue though ... I’ll bet there are as many deranged men as women at that age hitting on the 15 year olds regardless of age.
What baffles me is that this 23 year old woman threw away a guaranteed pension, health insurance, and summers off over a frigging fling ... at least she’s out of the teaching pool.

She’s 23 years old and fooling around with a 16 year old boy. Given the age difference isn’t that great, this isn’t as bad as a lot of them. But teachers should not be having sex with students, period. In the old days, before standards and self-control were completely thrown out the window by the “feel good” 60s and 70s culture, that was self-evident. Now it isn’t.
I’d hit it.
My daughter teaches high-school. She is 24.
She would never dream of engaging in this behavior.
Maybe she was mixed up and misspelled “snapchat”
