Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore is now eighth on the NFL's all-time rushing list.
Gore moved ahead of Tony Dorsett for eighth place when he gained 19 yards on a run off tackle in the second quarter of Monday's game against the New York Jets.
Dorsett is the seventh player that the 33-year-old Gore has passed on the all-time rushing list this season.

The JETS defense would make anybody look like Barry Sanders
Guy got nothing on Payton. Ever see clips of Sweetness? Completely ran over tacklers.
Gore is a compiler.
Long, relatively healthy career for a RB with a consistent number of carries each season.
He has been to the pro bowl five times, but only made the All-Pro team once, on the second team.
It’s 34-3 and the Colts just picked off the Jets for a 56 yard int. return to the Jets 5 yard line ..it it will be 41-3 shortly!
Don’t know if Revis is playing but the Jets are surely regretting paying this guy a ransom. TY Hilton already has 146 yards.
Revis is playing like he is 65 years old and got his money.
Good for Frank - he was the only thing watchable about the 49ers for several years before Harbaugh showed up, and he left at the same time Harbaugh did. After suffering some severe injuries in college and early in his pro career, it’s good to see the Hall-of-Fame worthy career he’s racked up.
“Revis is playing like he is 65 years old and got his money.”
Yup...5 years - $70 million - $39 million guaranteed. The Pats were smart not to pick up his option.
Emmitt Smith may have the record for most yards but I wouldn’t even have him in my top 5. Sweetness would still be tops with Brown, Sanders, and Dickerson following.
Looks like NY is continuing their tradition of not showing up the week after they play the Patriots in their Super Bowl.
