COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The Columbia Police Department has charged a man in connection to a body found inside a trunk in a North Columbia neighborhood.
Police arrested David Anderson, 21, on Friday and charged him with murder after investigators located a body in the trunk of a car on East Muller Avenue on Thursday morning following a tip about a suspicious vehicle.
Anderson, according to investigators, got into an argument with Rashawn Williams, 21, and killed him.
But another wrinkle in this case has CPD wanting to charge Anderson's mother, Wanda Elizabeth Williamson, 49, with accessory after the fact of murder.
According to police, Williamson helped Anderson move Williams' body into the car trunk.
We know that when a violent crime occurs in one of our neighborhoods, especially a homicide, it leaves citizens frightened and on edge," CPD Chief Skip Holbrook said in a news release. "This case reflects how collaboration, teamwork and attention to detail by CPD Investigators can lead to a quick arrest and eases citizens concerns."
No word on when exactly the incident occurred.

Just sayin'.
He don’t look 21...or is that Wanda?
21 years old?
Its the beard, he’ll look 21 when he gets to the judge. He may even perform a rap song, I’m sure he was inspiring to be a rapper.
A body in the trunk of your car is a bad thing? I’ll have to make a note of that!
This guy does not look like he has enough mind left (after massive drug use) to keep the hand from stink out when he closed the trunk.
Such typing errors make me look like a drug fiend.
That’s a 21 year old?!? Looks more like 41!
