Getting back to the writers original question, years ago in the 90's, I noticed this. But not just among women. The conservative men and women pundits/talking heads not only looked better but they dressed better. Their clothes fit better. The women wore makeup; the men combed their hair and had nice hair cuts. Even the older women and men conservatives.

Consider the gradations: Tom Brady is tall, handsome, makes millions playing a game, has a beautiful wife, huge mansion, etc, etc, etc. Am I jealous? No, but I understand (and I believe he does too) that he got very, very lucky being born with a core set of tools that allowed him to achieve what he has accomplished.
Here's an anecdotal story (told as a person who has visited on a number of occasions): If you travel to Paris, you may come away with the impression that everyone you see is trim, good looking, fashionable, etc. But that's not really the case - if you're touring the core, what you're being exposed to is the elite of French society. (Along with tourists with economic means.)
Let me explain a little further. The last time we were in Paris (2 years ago), the 4 big labor unions held a national strike for a day. A rally was being held at the large open space in front of Les Invalides. Because we were staying just a few blocks away, I wondered over to check out the scene after lunch.
And what did I see? Well, it certainly wasn't the stylish set; rather, it was the sort of lumpen one sees at any DNC rally. They had been bused in from the outer suburbs, and they looked more out of place in Paris than any caricature of the most out-of-shape American tourist.
To be honest, I was fascinated. And, I felt a little sorry for them. In reality, they have/had absolutely no shot in French society to gain any kind of economic independence. Their only opportunity is to band together to form some kind of voting block to basically extort a sliver of wealth from the producers.
We can all agree that US society is more fluid, but I would argue that it's more applicable for the guys. That is, if you get out there and hustle, you can make something for yourself. But women are so constrained by their appearances that it almost doesn't matter how much they apply themselves if they lack a baseline quality of attractiveness.
This is what we see when we see bitter, ugly hambeasts screaming about women's rights, issues, etc. They got comically screwed, and they're (rightfully) angry about it.

She is not a “work of art”. However, the “Bride of Frankenstein” is.
One additional factor — making an effort to stay fit, which includes a healthy diet and exercise.
Women with a large sense of entitlement don’t bother.

RC, it’s 50% what you wrote and 50% what I wrote. Yes, lefty women try to look unattractive/make no effort to look attractive, but it also is true that the MSM have it in for conservative women. Conservative women who do their best to look good and are still merely pleasant looking, will be savaged. Therefore, such women fly below the media’s radar screen. Think about how tough everyone was on Sarah Palin...now, imagine how much worse it would have been had she been fat and average looking, instead of thin and attractive?
They had their claws out for Sarah Palin in particular because she’s such a very attractive woman for her late 40’s to early 50’s. Had she been more ordinary looking, she’d have still been mocked mercilessly as all conservatives are by the MSM, but the incessant, nasty, personal sheer vitriol wouldn’t have been quite so bad. They wouldn’t have felt the need to utterly destroy her for all time, had she been less appealing. Merely preventing her election would have satisfied them.

Yes. Men who don’t give a rat’s behind what someone else thinks of them. Men who take risks and personal responsibility for those risks. Men who treat a woman as special just because she is a woman. Men who don’t have to pretend they embrace idiocracy to be cool and likable.
A woman who lives good values isn’t going to have the health damage that a woman who lives bad values will.
