Actor Mark Wahlberg isnt hip to everything all these liberal celebrities have to say.
In fact, hes quite tired of hearing their thoughts about politics just like the rest of us.
Not one to be subtle, Wahlberg says celebs need to be quiet.
From Truth Revolt:
In a recent interview promoting his upcoming film Patriots Day, actor Mark Wahlberg said celebrities need to shut up about politics and look outside their bubble.
Wahlbergs words
You know, it just goes to show you that people arent listening to that anyway. They might buy your CD or watch your movie, but you dont put food on their table. You dont pay their bills. A lot of Hollywood is living in a bubble. Theyre pretty out of touch with the common person, the everyday guy out there providing for their family. Me, Im very aware of the real world. I come from the real world, and I exist in the real world. And although I can navigate Hollywood and I love the business and the opportunities its afforded me, I also understand what its like not to have all that.
Marky Mark for the win!
Hollywoodians most certainly live in a bubble, and they are surrounded by group thinkers.
They dont know what real people struggle with on a daily basis, like the spiking prices of healthcare.
I wonder what Wahlberg and far-left radical George Clooney talked about on the set of The Perfect Storm?
It doesnt sound like theyd be the closest of friends.
Side note*** Marks brother, Donnie Wahlberg, endorsed Carly Fiorina early on before switching to Sen. Marco Rubio.
I couldn’t agree more with him. I’m not so sure the folks in Hollywood are going to appreciate his message and take it to heart, though. They’re too self-important and arrogant.
Is it ironic that I agree with his opinion that celebrities don’t need to tell me their opinions? But he’s right. I’ve been saying this for years. What about these drug addicted, under educated, morons would make you care about their opinion?
The Mark Wahlberg paradox: I don’t care what he says but agree with him when he says I shouldn’t care what he says...
It wasn’t always like this, I would say in the last 30 years it has gone downhill fast. Old Hollywood was actually full of real decent people.
I’ve never understood their willingness to alienate half or more of their potential audience. It’s the best example of acting contrary to one’s self-interest I can think of.
Just “shut up and sing”, or act, or whatever, and watch the checks roll in.
“Old Hollywood was actually full of real decent people”
Actually it was filled with Communists and closeted homosexuals
It was...and it really hasn't changed.
I hope he is sincere and not just promoting a movie.
Mark Wahlberg is a devoted Catholic, although liberal , democratic voting “devout” Catholic.
Just another liberal.
“It was...and it really hasn’t changed.”
They are no longer in the closet
Whoa! That's too much for me. I'll go NOMAD if I think about it too much.
The arrogance of Icarus, and Patton Clip "All Glory is Fleeting..."?
I take that back. It has changed. Now we have actors who seem to think we want to know that they’re gay. Who really cares? And if truth be told, we already knew they were gay. We’re also bombarded with TV shows and movies that constantly throw homosexuality in our face. Thank God for my DVR so I can fast-forward through all that crap.
The Commies and queers are blatantly in your face about themselves. The closet has no door.
Yeah...I added a reply afterward about that. Now they're in our face about it.
Yep...see my additional comment at #14.
“Actually it was filled with Communists and closeted homosexuals”
It was...and it really hasn’t changed.
Lots of them are out of the closet now.
“A lot of Hollywood is living in a bubble. Theyre pretty out of touch with the common person...”
Speaking of bubbles...
Soap bubbles, coloring books and crayons...that’s what University of Michigan gave to their special snowflake students hurting after the Trump win.
HOORAY Mike Wahlberg
Mark for later.
