Facebook is an identity thief’s tool kit.
.
Excellent point.
Not only identity thieves. The DIL of a friend used to post
EVERYTHING about their lives on Facebook. Posted photos of
all her latest redecorating projects; also announced every
trip they made out of town & when they expected to return.
Well, they came home after a trip years ago to find that
they had been cleaned out. I would hope she learned her
lesson. - I got “trapped” on Facebook years ago and got
into the “friending” deal. I was afraid to turn down anyone
requesting to “friend” me as most of my female friends from
school had changed names by marriage. One woman ended up
propositioning me (and I am a straight woman!), asked me
to “meet her” out of town for a weekend. I just deleted
ALL my “friends” and scooted. Even if I were “gay”, that
would have been very risky behavior.
You aren’t kidding.
My parents just got majorly scammed the other week, undoubtedly due to Facebook “connections”.
