Researchers at Nestle said they have found a new way to drastically cut sugar content in chocolate by up to 40%.

Nestle told Bloomberg that the process involves altering the structure of the sugar. Exactly how this works remains strictly secret, the company is still waiting to patent the process. But Nestle’s Chief Technology Officer, Stefan Catsicas, that essentially it creates “hollow” sugar crystals, which dissolve quickly in the mouth.

If you are ever in southern NH, you must stop at the Lindt factory outlet in Stratham. Good stuff.

They make the Lindt truffles there. ;P

I’d buy stevia sweetened chocolate if it was available and reasonably priced.

Nestle? Heinrich Nestle was originally from Frankfurt, and got his start developing a baby formula, the infant mortality rate in Lake Geneva being 20% at the time.

I read "Chocolate Wars" a couple of years ago, by a "Cadbury".

Interesting read if you're into socio/historical/political machinations.

Not quite “tasty” enough to finish at one sitting, that’s for sure.

Sorbitol has nearly destroyed my gut. We only found out how bad recently.

This will be the end of Nestle for me.

This reminds me, when I was just a small kid, I saw some *chocolate* in the top drawer of my father's dresser. I'm sure I wasn't old enough to read.

It was so tempting in it's pretty gold wrapper.

Choco Ex-Lax, it was :P

Wonder if they are going to use Carob? Since I don’t like their product’s taste It won’t be an issue. I’m not a big sweets eater, but if I want chocolate it’s Dove or Hershey’s.

Nabisco is on my list for moving jobs to Mexico.

I get Kebler cookies for hubby. He could care less as long as it is a sweet. Since he’s the only 1 eating them it doesn’t effect me.

I had to deal with 3 boys who insisted on name brand ketchup and mustard, bought 1 bottle of each, then bought the store brand at half the cost and refilled the cleaned out bottles while they were out of the house. They could not tell the difference. LOL

My brother, when he used to work out and take supplements, used to call it “creatine spray” for what creatine did to his butt.

Olestra spray came next.

PS: Nestle should go out of business for their immoral and shady practices. They are the elites. They killed a lot of African babies with their diluted baby formula.

I think Keebler also is now owned by Kdlloggs. Bummer! Cheez-its say “genetically modified ingredients” on the label. The store brand (Giant) just like Cheez-it didn’t say it, so I bought a pkg of theirs. I buy Giant brand when I see an equivalent to a name brand. They’re excellent.
