You’re right, I failed to consider that Clinton’s influence peddling was far more seductive to donors.

I give only to the Salvation Army because I believe they are the most honest and thoughtful charity. They never appear on charity lists because of their religious affiliation.

After he died, I noticed Daddy had been donating to several police charities. Odds are they were all scams.

As soon as you donate to one, a bunch come out of the woodwork. Friend of mine had to step in and tend to his uncles affairs due to dementia. He went through his uncle's checkbook for prior 6 months and found almost weekly checks for 50 or more to a whole array of police and firemen funds. All in all, better than 6k had been given. Luckily the uncle was wealthy but they were bleeding him dry. Also, many of the checks were deposited into the same bank account, even tho they were to supposedly different orgs. Sadly, police in DC said they couldn't do anything, police in state where the main bank was collecting all this money wouldn't do anything, and the bank themselves said not our problem.

Nine of the 48 listed go to some type Police organization.

If you contribute, don't you get a sticker of some sort that is supposed to keep you from getting a ticket if a cop stops you?

High on my list is the Salvation Army and The Fisher House.

If we're listing favorites: check out the Civil War Trust. First rate group. Buys dirt to save battlefields. Also involved in Civil War education, both for schools and the general public, with great online resources. Not everyone is interested in historic preservation, and if you like shopping malls on battlefields, this isn't your cup of tea. But if you value U.S. military history, this is a group to know.

Thanks or the list. I donate to Show Hope a charity started by singer Stephen Chapman. It got 3 stars out of 4 with 100% transparency. They help with adoption costs and taking care of orphan children .

They’ve cleaned up their act by getting rid of two top guys who were taking too much. I wouldn’t put WWP in this listing.

See my post #20. I think the Clinton Foundation missed the list due to the way the list was structured.

Hopefully, the next Attorney General will correct that flaw.

This list is based on soliciting costs. It doesn’t even scratch the surface on administrative costs, executive salaries, etc.
