As of now China doesn’t have the sea or air lift capability to mount a US invasion.
The Chinese dragon can’t even make the swim to Taiwan.
I have a theory. All of those tough counter girls, yelling out orders to the kitchen staff at Chinese restaurants are really officers in the invading army. Everyone in the restaurant has an easily purchased, old model military rifle in the closet at home.
I used to present my theory as comedy. Now, I'm not so sure.
