Had dinner at wife’s sister’s place (flaming lib). The rest of us are pro-Trump.
So far, politics have not come up. If so, it would probably end the family festive weekend abruptly, so everyone’s holding their fire.
There is some suspicion however, that my sister’s pro-BLM, anti-Trump rants on FB may have gotten her canned at work. But we only talked about that when our hostess was not around.
My brother came in with his girls, the oldest is a senior in high school and they usually live with their liberal mother creature and the oldest brought up the BLM thugs and the oppression of blacks and their reasonable violent response to my sister. I started to unload on the girl and my wife makes eye contact and the facial expression of YOU HOLD YOUR TONGUE!
Without batting an eye my sister said ok say I accept your premise that BLM has all these righted to loot, burn, assault and kill. Answer me this do you support women’s rights? Yes she said! Then my sister says women have been through history raped, beaten, sold as slaves and still sold as sex slaves by people and parties you support, is this wrong? The oldest girl says yes!!!! My sister then says by your reasoning we women should be out killing all men white, black, Asian whatever shouldn’t we? The girl had a blank expression of this does not compute. My response was AMEN!!! From across the room.
After a minute or two to recover the young girl started the gay marriage and gay lifestyle is fine crap and my sister destroyed her again and left her stuttering. My brother, her dad just looked at me and grinned, he was loving another woman destroying all his estranged wife’s idiocy.
I have always been the political one in our family and I wanted to say to my sister you have done well young grasshopper!
