Don’t recall actors and actresses so overtly flapping their noise holes all the time at the media about their political views either, back then.

We watch a lot of programs like Queen for a Day, Groucho Marx, What’s My Line, Jackie Gleason, Amos and Andy, etc. Didn’t even have a TV until the middle 1950’s and even then my mom would only allow us to watch Lawrence Welk on Saturday night.

We were too busy working, cooking, raising children, paying bills, going to church and going about daily life. Don’t remember anyone in our family or anyone we knew even talking about politics until the day President Kennedy was killed. Life was focused on an entirely different set of issues back then and everybody was busy doing more productive things.
