Now I’ll eat anything that doesn’t eat me first. That Breakfast looks good.
I liked the black pudding I had with my breakfast at a B & B in Llangollen, Wales.
When I was a tourist in England, I never had the typical English breakfast. I remember having small breakfasts of yogurt, fruit and tea, and having afternoon tea food every day. Dinner was just different restaurants in London since I was based there and was always back in London at dinnertime.
Mmm, melted cheese on tomatoes are good. I always put tomatoes in my grilled cheese sandwiches.
Needs bacon. Lots of bacon.
i never got into the little fish thingys and tomaties.. the muffin, eggs, beans, baconite,, ok..
At one hotel we stayed at in London the breakfast buffet included haggis, pork and beans, and blood pudding. I was literally in shock, the buffet food choices were so bad and we were staying in a four star hotel. Google the recipe for haggis, it’s completely horrifying.
Also, the absolute worst hamburger I’ve ever had in my life was in a popular London pub. It is beyond me how anyone can take something as simple as a hamburger and ruin it.
Food aside, we did enjoy our visit to Great Britain.
I love fried spam and onions with cheese for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Liverwurst and onions with mustard on rye aren’t bad either.
Haggis is sort of like our livermush. As the LOLcats say, DO NOT WANT.
I had fish and chips for dinner one time, and they were really good.
Do not go to Britain for the food. With few exceptions it is exceptionally nauseating—and always has been.
My wife is South African, went to the best of schools (which means British), and cooks very competently. I have had to counsel her on what Americans will and will not consume. Her meals are delights, and I am one that really enjoys the cooked however tomatoes. The sausages and sticky gooey puddings, not so much.
If I can get to mustard with enough of it the inedible can be made edible!
Don’t understand the beans and tomatoes but I’d inhale everything but the plate...
Blood pudding is great. Especially with scrambled eggs.
I’ve had haggis at a local celtic fest. Tastes great.
I usually eat leftovers for breakfast but that looks disgusting.
Where’s the grits?
Having been to Tuscany 8 years ago, I learned that virtually nothing on American restaurant menus described with the adjective “Tuscan” resembles anything found in actual Tuscan restaurants.
The fried toms and mushrooms I never got used to in the UK. Nor the fried bread,
But give me Cumberland sausage with whole grain mustard any day.
